A huge inferno has erupted at a Peaky Blinders filming location as a team of 100 firefighters battle the blaze at a former mill.Videos from the scene shows black smoke emerging from the raging fire which has consumed the roof of the Dalton Mill, in Keighley, West Yorkshire.

Fans of Brit gangster drama Peaky Blinders will recognise it as one of the filming locations of the popular series, Yorkshire Live reports.

Local residents are being advised to keep their doors and windows closed as the fire service says the entirety of the Grade II-listed building has been affected.The mill once employed 2,000 people before falling into disrepair, but is now used as a set for TV and film.West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue has sent a total of 100 firefighters from 20 crews to save the historic mill, according to the BBC.The fire service confirmed they have deployed 20 crews from all over Yorkshire.Earlier they confirmed the fire had broken out on Twitter, saying: "We are currently in attendance at a fire at Dalton Mills, Keighley."There is a lot of smoke in the area & residents are advised to keep doors/windows closed."Please avoid travelling through the area.

Updates to follow." In a statement, West Yorkshire Police told Yorkshire Live : "Emergency services are currently in attendance at a large fire on Dalton Lane, Keighley. "Police are assisting the fire service and urge local residents to keep doors and windows shut."Road closures are currently in place, please avoid the area." The mill, which closed in the 1990s after falling into disrepair, first opened in 1869, according to the Yorkshire Post.
