Pubs and restaurants are open from today, which seems to be unfortunate timing considering the ferocious weather this weekend.

Britons can expect strong winds in the north as the Met Office has issued a yellow warning for this Sunday. The Met Office also predicts "many parts will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, particularly in the west, but also some drier and brighter spells in the north and also east of high ground further south.
