The number of new coronavirus infections has soared by 35,853 - the highest figure ever - but officials have blamed a previously unreported 11,000 cases.
UK Covid-19 deaths have risen by 532 in the last 24 hours, roughly steady with last Thursday which was 516. The infection figure includes 11,000 cases in Wales which were previously unreported 'as a result of system maintenance in the NHS Wales Laboratory Information Management System', according to Public Health England.
