He was Foreign Secretary from 2016 to 2018 and Mayor of London from 2008 to 2016. Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

UK 'can't even consider' lifting lockdown for Easter as Brits ordered to stay home

Brits are being ordered to stay home this Easter bank holiday weekend with no end to the lockdown in sight. Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said: “We’re not done yet, we must keep going.” He revealed Boris Johnson remains in intensive care but is taking 'positive step forwards and is in good spirits.' He added that he had not spoken to Mr Johnson himself, saying the PM was focusing on getting well as he remains in hospital.

Mr Raab gave the lockdown orders and an update on the Prime Minister's condition as he hosts today's daily coronavirus press conference at Number 10.
