Ubisoft turns off vital online services for nearly 100 games, sparking outcry from gamers

Ubisoft is shutting down online support for 90 of its classic games on Xbox, Playstation, PC and more.Gamers will lose access to their unlockable content such as maps and skins for games, and Ubisoft Connect services such as in-game news, player stats, and challenges will also disappear from the titles in question.Luckily, the games will still work offline, just don't expect them to receive any new online updates or support over the years as online servers have been shut.In a blog post, Ubisoft said: "Rewards can still be unlocked, however you will not be able to receive them in-game."The game developer added: "Unlockable content (ULC) such as maps and skins will also be disabled, meaning that you will no longer be able to unlock them."On PC, ULC will no longer be available even if it has been redeemed previously.
