Tyson Fury has reiterated his claim that he's now set to retire from boxing after flooring Dillian Whyte to retain his world heavyweight belts, but the decision wasn't welcomed among sections of the Wembley crowd who are desperate to see him continue.Fury controlled the first five rounds before unleashing a savage right uppercut on Whyte, which sent the challenger to the canvas. 'The Body Snatcher' did stumble back to his feet, but was clearly in no shape to continue as referee Mark Lyson waved off proceedings. The 94,000 strong crowd had been in raptures earlier in the evening when Fury, 33, entered the ring on a throne in what proved a spectacular entrance.

And 'The Gypsy King' celebrated in his now customary way afterwards, belting out a rendition of American Pie for fans. There were jeers for the Manchester man too though, not for his display but his claim on the microphone that the victory "could be the end" of his career.

And speaking to BT Sport afterwards, he doubled down on his pre-fight words which implied he was now likely to walk away."I promised my wife that would be it after the [Deontay] Wilder fight," he said. "But I got offered a fight at Wembley and I owed it to the fans.

What a way to go out."He later added: "This might be the final curtain for the Gypsy King," despite the prospect of a mouth-watering unification bout with the winner of the Oleksandr Usyk v Anthony Joshua rematch.
