Jon Ward, 34, passed away on Wednesday prompting an outpouring of grief from shocked pals.They told how the RAF corporal, based in a Glasgow recruitment office, was out on a run in Lossiemouth the day before he died and planned a 100-mile fundraiser.Moray Road Runners chairman Gareth Jenkins, 50, said: “He enjoyed the run - they were having a laugh because they were two RAF personnel and a policeman and they got lost in the woods.“There was nothing to suggest the news that was to come."It’s just surreal and we feel numb.“He was well-known and popular - our thoughts go out to Jon’s family and loved ones.”Kind-hearted Jon completed 100 marathons in 2018 to mark the RAF’s centenary and raise much-needed money for veterans - wearing out seven.
