Tributes have been paid to a nurse who spent nearly 40 years at Perth Royal Infirmary after she passed away at the age of 66.Maureen Blair died suddenly on May 8.She worked at PRI from 1974 until her retirement in 2014 and in 1992 she became Scotland’s first respiratory nurse.Maureen was born in Perth on September 23 1953 to her Irish parents, the late Michael (Sonny) McManamon and the late Mary.She and her younger siblings Anne and Michael grew up in Newhouse Road and then Grange Terrace.Residents in troubled Perth flats decide to leave as they no longer feel safeShe was educated at St John’s Primary and St Columba’s Secondary in Perth, followed by two years at Lawside Academy in Dundee.
