Devastated former team mates of a popular junior footballer have paid tribute in the wake of his sudden death. Ryan Macdonald, 41, passed away on Friday, April 24 and has been described as an "absolute legend" who was always smiling as “dressing rooms will never be the same”.
The dad-of-two played for a number of teams during his 16 years as a footballer across Glasgow, including Greenock Juniors, Arthurlie FC and Port Glasgow Juniors before finishing up his career as a coach at Port Glasgow Boys Club.
Heartbroken friends and ex colleagues flooded social media to pay tribute to “a truly special person” who was a “diamond of a guy” and an “infectious big character”.
