Travis made their debut at one of the country’s most hallowed venues, it was to an empty house. The band took over Glasgow’s Theatre Royal to film the video for their new single The Only Thing, which is out today.
But lockdown rules meant there could be no audience – and also forced lead singer Fran Healy to direct the video by Zoom from his home in Los Angeles, 5000 miles away.
The rockers invited the Record to join them at the socially-distanced shoot at the home of opera and ballet in Scotland, as they prepared to release their ninth album.
