Thousands of sun-starved Brits have flocked to Spain today as flights resumed from the UK - despite the fact that the country is currently on the UK government's amber list.
That means that anyone returning from Spain will need to self-isolate at home for 10 days, and take multiple PCR tests when back in the UK.
Meanwhile, the government continues to tell Brits not to travel to amber or red destinations unless it's for essential reasons (a holiday doesn't count).
Travelling to amber list destinations also incurs other risks such as your travel insurance being invalidated, or a higher risk of Covid due to case numbers abroad.
