From June 8 anyone arriving back into the UK from Portugal will need to quarantine at home for ten days as it will then fall under the amber list rules.
Now, just 11 countries remain on the green list, which permits travel for leisure purposes without the need for quarantine on return to the UK.
Many of the most popular tourist destinations for UK travellers, like Spain, Greece and France and now Portugal are on the amber list.
