The government has warned against booking foreign holidays this summer as it is ‘unlikely that the green list will change. Environment Secretary George Eustice is encouraging people to stay in the UK and do not go abroad "unless it's absolutely necessary".
While many had hoped for a summer holiday this year, the new Indian variant of the virus has slowed plans for the country to reopen fully on June 21st.
Mr Eustice said that the next “critical step” will be to see if the vaccine protects against this new strain and until then travel should be approached with caution.
