Metrolink bosses are in crunch talks on how the trams will run from next week - and whether the opening of the Trafford Park line should go ahead.
As the coronavirus crisis continues to escalate, along with Government guidance on measures to limit the spread, transport bosses are preparing to take the next big steps over public transport in Greater Manchester.
The warning that change is imminent comes after Andy Burnham, Greater Manchester mayor, said trams would likely be reduced in frequency from every six minutes to every 12 minutes, with more double carriages to allow for social distancing.
