Metrolink bosses have moved to address 'concerning accusations', made by a whistleblower, who claimed trams are not being disinfected properly during the coronavirus pandemic.
Last week, mayor Andy Burnham warned that passengers on trams and buses may be asked to wear masks to stay safe as an added precaution.
A man, who drives trams in Greater Manchester, contacted the Manchester Evening News over the weekend to raise concerns about health and safety standards.
