Scottish Secretary Alister Jack ignored a plea to meet one of the country’s top anti-poverty groups to discuss the cuts to Universal Credit.The Poverty Alliance said they did not get an acknowledgement after requesting a sit down with Boris Johnson’s Cabinet Minister.
SNP MSP Neil Gray said: "Millionaire Alister Jack has absolutely no experience of living in poverty. “His callous disdain for those who will pay the biggest price for his Government’s obscene policy decisions is sickening.” Johnson’s Tory Government has pushed through a £20 a week cut to Universal Credit - the biggest overnight hit to social security in decades.
