Still Game's Jack and Victor to launch new gin in follow up to whisky

One of Scotland's most popular comedic duos is following the hugely successful launch of their first-ever whisky with a move into clear spirits.

Still Game's Jack and Victor, played by Scottish comedy icons, Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill, have announced a brand new gin.

Launching this week, ‘Still Gin’, the pair say the idea for the new tipple was born from an abundance of fan requests for something ‘filtered through the heather’.Hoping to get it out in time for Mother's Day, a humorous digital ad campaign will be appearing around Scotland, with adverts on the Glasgow Subway and Edinburgh buses all with the cheeky tagline ‘for Yer Maw’.Scotland's most famous OAPs have also penned a fun poem that fans can read on the website when they go to purchase a bottle:“We hope a sip, from glass to lip,Will keep ye hale and hearty,With Jack & Victors fine 'Still Gin',Come join the Craiglang party!”To celebrate the launch, the Craiglang legends say, anyone who signs up to the mailing list at www.jackandvictor.com before midnight on the 23rd of February, will be sent a secret password to get early access to pick up a bottle before the gin goes on general sale on the 28th of Feb.Designed to be a big hit with gin fans as well as fans of Still Game, the entrepreneurial pensioners say their new gin has tasting notes of cherry blossom, juniper berries, pink grapefruit, orange and most importantly, heather flowers – giving it a truly ‘filtered through the heather’ taste.
