A Conservative councillor was told he could not speak at a climate emergency rally organised by a trade union with support from the council in Salford.
Schoolchildren and local politicians called on world leaders to cut carbon emissions and tackle the climate emergency during the COP26 conference.
Pupils from All Hallows Royal Catholic High, Christ The King Royal Catholic Primary, St Ambrose Barlow Catholic High and St Peter’s Church of England Primary schools all attended the rally in Swinton, waving placards and posters.
