Tilda Swinton accepts the Golden Lion Award on stage at the 2020 Venice Film Festival‘s opening ceremony on Wednesday (September 2) in Venice, Italy.
The 59-year-old Oscar-winning actress was honored for her career achievements and she gave a nod to her fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe co-star Chadwick Boseman at the end of her speech. Tilda concluded the speech by saying, “Viva Venezia.
Cinema cinema cinema. Wakanda Forever. Nothing but love.” If you didn’t know, Tilda played The Ancient One in both Doctor Strange and Avengers: Endgame. Chadwick, who played T’Challa/Black Panther, tragically died last week after a four-year battle with colon cancer.
