Tiger Woods has struck a longterm partnership with video game publisher 2K. The deal includes rights for Woods' name and likeness to appear exclusively in the PGA Tour 2Kgolf simulation franchise, as well as any other golf-themed games published by the company.
Woods will also serve as executive director and consultant for the aforementioned series. Additionally, 2K will acquire HB Studios, developer of PGA Tour 2K21 — which, upon its release in 2020, became the fastest selling golf game in a decade — in the first quarter of this year (previously, the studio was a privately-held independent company).
HB is headquartered in Nova Scotia, Canada and includes console, mobile and PC games among its portfolio. Itjoins 2K'sfamily of fully-owned.
