Tiger Woods has admitted he felt it was "very unlikely" that he would be able to play at the Masters this week as he recovered from horrific leg injuries last year.But that's exactly what he plans to do, after telling reporters that he plans to take to the course at Augusta on Thursday to mark his return to professional action.
That return will be 14 months on from the crash in California last February which left him bed-bound for months.The golf legend was always planning to travel to Georgia this week to attend the traditional Champions Dinner, but rumours of his potential comeback were nothing more than that – until he said at Tuesday's press conference: "As of right now, I feel I am going to play."Walking is the hard part.
