Boxer Erickson Lubin was left unrecognisable after taking 255 punches in one fight.The light-middleweight suffered a broken nose and facial damage after receiving a battering from Sebastian Fundora.
Lubin’s face was left severely swollen on both sides while he also suffered bleeding from the nose and mouth.Fundora landed 255 of his 706 punches, as per Boxing Scene, leading to Lubin being taken to hospital where he was treated for his broken nose and a separated shoulder, which requires surgery.
It came after the 26-year-old’s trainer, Kevin Cunningham, stopped the bout before round 10 to end the thrilling Las Vegas encounter, handing Lubin only his second loss in 26 fights.Fundora, who dealt the damage, admitted it was the right call for Lubin's trainer to throw in the towel after round nine.He said: “I think it was a good decision for Kevin Cunningham to stop the fight.Do you think Lubin's trainer was right to end the fight?
