You, Me & The Big C host Deborah James struggling to adjust after month-long stay in hospital amid cancer ordeal: ‘There have been tears’

You, Me & The Big C presenter Deborah James was released from hospital after more than a month last weekend, but has struggled to adjust. The broadcaster, who was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2016, was discharged from the Royal Marsden Hospital on Saturday after spending over four weeks receiving treatment.

Deborah, 40, revealed that it was a particularly challenging stay this time round and was having to adapt to being back home again.

Alongside a photo of her smiling outside the hospital, the presenter wrote: ‘About last night! I’ve been discharged home!‘I’m aware I’ve been quiet on here recently but the last week especially has pushed me to use every ounce of energy to find the strength to get through each day and get home.

I’ve been in hospital for a month and 2 days, and I cannot tell you how hard it’s been, both mentally and physically to get through this. ‘It’s pushed me to limits I didn’t think existed despite my previous stays.’ She continued: ‘Of course I’ll share with you why over the coming weeks.
