A young girl has died after being knocked down on a zebra crossing outside a primary school.The child, believed to be aged three, was struck by a large vehicle car shortly before 2.40pm Thursday November 11.
It is understood the girl was with her family when the tragedy occurred as a silver Ford Galaxy failed to stop at the safety crossing.
Tonight, police confirmed that a 24-year-old man has been arrested and held for questioning on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Police were seen recovering the vehicle in question from the nearby area. Emergency services, including air ambulance, descended on Reddings Lane, Birmingham, where tragic youngster was found with serious injuries.
