Johnson was Member of Parliament for Henley from 2001 to 2008 and has been MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015. Ideologically, Johnson identifies as a one-nation conservative.

Thousands of people flouted new lockdown ruled as they were seen assembling in London's Broadway Market on Saturday. Shocking pictures show Londoners taking to the market and packing the streets as they waited for drinks outside street food restaurants and pubs.

People took advantage of pubs being able to stay open for takeaway alcohol, a concession by Prime Minister Boris Johnson after he announced a second lockdown last week.

Mr Johnson last Saturday announced the second four-week lockdown as he warned of an alarming rise in Covid-19 infections. The tougher restrictions, which will last till December 2, were decided on as the head of the NHS said plans were being drawn up to use ice rinks as mortuaries if hospitals became overwhelmed.
