Boris Johnson has outlined the new rules for cinemas as England is eased out of lockdown. Movie theatres will be allowed to reopen in Tiers 1 and 2 when restrictions ease from December 2.
But they will be forced to keep their doors shut in Tier 3 areas. And as to who you can attend a screening with - it's complicated, depending on which tier your area falls under.
The Prime Minister has yet to reveal which areas will be under which tier levels, as the 'rule of six' returns. Bans on indoor mixing in some areas will mean going to the movies, theatre or gigs with pals will not be allowed everywhere this winter.
