Local residents complained of piles of rubbish being left behind by revellers at Cutting Room Square, and loud music being blasted until the early hours of the morning.
One man is understood to have been arrested for an antisocial behaviour offence, according to local councillors. Greater Manchester Police said they were called to the square at around 10.50pm to reports of a large group gathering.
