However, when facing Watford they succumbed to a shock 3-0 defeat at Vicarage Road to end their streak. It saw Arsenal fans breathe a collective sigh of relief with their team holding on to the only side to go unbeaten all season in the Premier League.
That happened back in 2003/04, when the likes of Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Robert Pires strutted their stuff at Highbury.
This side has gone down in history for their achievement. But Petit has remarked that his former team would be no match for today’s Liverpool.
