Prince William is celebrating his 40th birthday today, as he is embracing his role as a future King thanks to his wife Kate Middleton.

Prince Charles has shared a series of sweet family photos to mark his son Prince William's 40th birthday on Tuesday 21 June.The future King, 73, took to his Twitter page to share the photos with the caption: "Wishing The Duke of Cambridge a very happy 40th birthday!" followed by a birthday cake emoji and a red balloon emoji. One photo sees Charles as a young man, holding his son William as a baby in his arms. Another shows them sitting on a ski lift together.
