Connor Ball and Tristan Evans are no strangers when it comes to interactions with fans but this one has stayed in their brains.The group, who are celebrating their tenth anniversary, are known to interact with fans on a regular basis and are always happy to pose for pictures.Over the course of their career, which boasts two Number One albums, they've had their fair share of awkward encounters.Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, they admitted these range from meeting fans in toilets to mysterious fanmail.Discussing their most bizarre encounter, James said: "Tampon, definitely that, yeah."One fan had 'gifted' the group a used tampon as a declaration of her love for the group - later sparking a craze amongst fans.He added: "It's got to be that, the tampon is the worst I think," before bandmate Tristan joked: "James ate it, we disposed of it pretty quickly."While Brad said: "There was a lot of shock, we've kind of blocked the memory out now, we were just like 'forget about it'".Tristan went on to say: "It was a phase, it happened a lot the first time we played Hammersmith Apollo."Someone threw a tampon that they'd coloured in red, they got us, I was like 'Oh my God' but it was fake, there was genuinely a phase going on for a few months, tampon throwing."Is it a sign of love, what is it?"But, that is perhaps not their most awkward encounter, Brad found himself in a sticky situation when a fan followed him into the toilets.Tristan revealed: "It happened to him [Brad]!"Simpson added: "It was a kid, he asked if he could have a photo and I was like 'You can, if you let me finish doing my business!'""Your guard is down, luckily the kid didn't have his phone in his hand but all it takes is 'oh the camera has flipped the wrong.
