Ralf Rangnick has been confirmed as Manchester United's new interim manager until the end of the season, subject to work visa requirements.
It's been confirmed by United that the German will join the club on a six-month contract as interim manager before staying at United for a further two years in a consultancy role.
Rangnick is well known and respected for his expertise in the transfer market, especially during his time at Red Bull Sports Group where he signed the likes of Sadio Mane and Erling Haaland for RB Salzburg and Timo Werner for RB Leipzig.
Until the work permit of Rangnick is finalised, Michael Carrick will remain in charge of United, with the Englishman drawing 1-1 with league leaders Chelsea in his last outing in charge.
