THE Chase producers give contestants a thorough grilling before they make it to the show, a former contestant has revealed. One telly quizzer said the process takes into account both personality and intelligence as they're questioned before even making it to the studio.
They wrote on Twitter: "I’ve successfully applied for the show, I had to do a phone interview with rapid fire questions then a video interview with ice breakers and a further quiz! "So there is some screening for both personality and ability to answer the type of questions on the show!" It came after Mark 'The Beast' Labbett warned viewers to "be kind to low ability contestants" after a series of fails on the show.
Wednesday night's instalment of the ITV game show saw players Caroline, Matthew, Lizzy and Graham take on Mark AKA The Beast.
