Blossoms have teamed up with Jungle and CMAT on their upcoming new album.The band have been working on their new album for the last year and it’s the first to be released on their own record label, ODD SK Records. It’s the follow up to 2022’s ‘Ribbon Around The Bomb,’ their last with Virgin EMI.Frontman Tom Ogden spoke to BBC 6 Music’s Nathan Shepherd about the new album and opened up about the number of collaborations on the record.“This album…it’s the most we’ve kind of spread our wings in terms of collaboration,” he told Shepherd.Ogden continued: “I’ve wrote the songs, brought it to the lads and then we’ve gone in with [James] Skelly [producer] in Liverpool.

Blossoms have revealed that not even Noel Gallagher‘s daughter Anaïs knew about the Oasis reunion.While appearing on Radio X ahead of their special Boxing Day show – Blossoms A to X on Radio X, which will see the band review the last year in alphabetical order, with tracks from Oasis, Linkin Park, and more – frontman Tom Ogden revealed that not even Anaïs, Noel Gallagher’s daughter, was aware that Oasis were reuniting.Anaïs has previously hit the road with her father’s solo and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, joining his team as a photographer and recently serving as the director of his documentary series The Making Of Council Skies earlier this summer.“I remember when the rumours were flying on the news articles online,” Ogden told his bandmates, with drummer Joe Donovan adding: “Me and you frantically texting each other, weren’t we?”Ogden added: “Do you know what, Noel’s daughter Anaïs was staying at mine and Katie’s house when these new stories were breaking. Blossoms have teamed up with Rick Astley once again, this time for a cover of Charli XCX‘s ‘360’ in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge.The Stockport indie band stopped by the Live Lounge today (October 14) but didn’t reveal that Astley was with them as a special guest until they started performing. Indeed, presenters Melvin Odoom, Charlie Hedges and Rickie Haywood-Williams only found out they’d have a special guest with them just before they came on air.As is tradition on the Live Lounge, Blossoms picked a song to cover and, about 10 minutes into the programme, chose to deliver a jangly, guitar-led take on the track from Charli’s celebrated album ‘Brat’.

Blossoms have announced their ‘Five Nights In Manchester’ residency which is set to take place later this year.The indie rock quintet – comprised of Tom Ogden, Charlie Salt, Josh Dewhurst, Joe Donovan and Myles Kellock – have announced the details of their five-night residency set to take place in their hometown of Manchester.The gigs will kick off at Manchester Academy on November 19. From there, Blossoms will take over the O2 Ritz, Albert Hall, O2 Victoria Warehouse and O2 Apollo that same week.

British rock legends Oasis have reportedly lined up their pals Blossoms as the opening act for their much-anticipated reunion tour. Indie band Blossoms, who previously supported Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds at a memorable gig in London's Royal Albert Hall, are set to share the stage with Oasis during the Manchester leg of their comeback.The Gallagher brothers will grace Heaton Park for four nights come July. An insider revealed the natural pairing: "Noel and Liam and Blossoms have been friends for years and with the band also coming from Manchester asking them to support Oasis was a no-brainer," adding that an official announcement is on the way.

Deaf Havana have announced a UK headline tour supporting their upcoming sixth studio album ‘The Present Is A Foreign Land’ this November.The band kick off the tour at Cardiff’s Tramshed on November 8, and will play dates in Nottingham, Manchester and at London’s Roundhouse before wrapping up the tour in Glasgow on November 14.Fans who purchase a copy of ‘The Present Is A Foreign Land’ via Deaf Havana’s webstore when the album comes out on July 15 and fans who pre-ordered the album will be eligible to purchase tickets for the tour on May 26 – 24 hours before general tickets go on sale. Blossoms have revealed how their unlikely feud with Johnny Marr over forming a Smiths covers band was put to bed.Last year, the band teamed up with Rick Astley to cover The Smiths. While playing a gig in London, they invited Astley on stage to perform ‘Panic’ and ‘This Charming Man’.The artists subsequently announced two Smiths covers shows in Manchester and London the following month, with Blossoms becoming Astley’s backing band for a full set of theirs and fans’ most-loved Smiths songs.At the time, Marr gave her verdict on the covers, writing on Twitter: “This is both funny and horrible at the same time”. He also added: “Well, I met The Blossoms a few weeks ago and they elected to not mention it.
