The northern funnyman had joked he was "absolutely livid" to get a rejection email from the mega chain after trying his luck with a customer assistance job at his local branch. "I was only trying to do my bit I hope the better person got and enjoys the job, I'll be watching," he quipped on Twitter.
Now a spokesperson for the supermarket chain has revealed the real reason why Jason didn't get the job - and it was nothing to do with his CV.
