Comedy giant Jason Manford has been offered a job by Iceland - after he was knocked back by Tesco. He applied for a temp job as a driver with the retailer as he was "trying to do his bit" during the coronavirus pandemic The Englishman, who finished second in The Masked Singer earlier this year, said he was "livid" when he learned his application had been rejected.
But he still has a chance to help out in the midst of the government lockdown - brought in to stop the spread of the deadly disease - as Iceland have offered him a job.
The 38-year-old, who helped raise £22,000 for a memorial for tragic Scots murder victim Alesha MacPhail, tweeted Tesco's rejection email - and Iceland replied.
