There's been another twist in the Jason Manford supermarket job application saga

Jason Manford had a bizzarre few days last week. The Salford comic revealed on Twitter that he had been rejected for a job at Tesco in Alderley Edge having applied to 'do his bit' during the coronavirus pandemic.

Once he made his knock back public, joking he was 'livid', Tesco responded - saying that they'd love to have offered him a role, but he'd missed an application deadline.

Speaking on ITV's Lorraine, Jason said he 'applied for a few things', just to see if he could help. "Seven weeks later, I got this rejection letter which was very formal," he said.
