A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with robbery following the incident.He appeared before Blackpool Magistrates' Court on Thursday (September 1) and is next due to appear at Blackpool Youth Court on September 15.
A girl of the same age, who is believed to have filmed the incident, was later arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rob.The attack took place near to the RNLI lifeboat station on Blackpool Promenade.
