Mourners who queued through the night to pay their respect to the Queen lying-in-state were left in tears after being turned away by police.
Dozens of visitors were told they would not be admitted into Westminster Hall by authorities at the entrance to Victoria Tower Gardens near Lambeth Bridge, Hull Live reports.
The attendees, who had already waited for several hours, claim they were “lied to” by officers earlier in the night about their chances of making it to the front of the queue.
Albert, who joined the queue at 10pm last night without a wristband, was one of the mourners who was stopped from entering Westminster.
