A teenager killed his own mum by stabbing her 118 times before calling police to tell them they should arrest him and "bring a body bag".
Rowan Thompson, 17, said he had killed mum Joanna by strangling her and then stabbed her before putting the knife in the dishwasher and making himself some lunch, an inquest was told.
The killer later admitted manslaughter, but was found dead at a secure psychiatric facility before he could stand trial for murder.
When a police constable arrived and told Thompson he was being arrested on suspicion of murder, the teenager laughed and said: "I think it is more than suspicion." He admitted manslaughter at Winchester Crown Court, but denied murder.
