manchestereveningnews.co.ukwas stabbed to death in in north Manchester. The 16 year-old was fatally wounded during an altercation which police say involved "a number of males armed with weapons" in Moston on Thursday night.
The alarm was raised and emergency services raced to Birchenall Street at around 7pm.However despite the best efforts of medics the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.Greater Manchester Police (GMP) say a man has now been arrested on suspicion of his murder.
The 18 year-old arrived at hospital with apparent stab wound injuries of his own later on Thursday evening they say.He has been arrested but remains in hospital for treatment they have confirmed.The deceased boy's family are being supported by specialist officers.A large cordon remains.
