reports BristolLive.Ms Browne's birthday celebrations quickly turned into a "really traumatic night" after the assault left her needing two staples to the back of her head as a result of her injuries.
The A-level student, from Pontprennau, said she was ordering her second drink at the bar in the Wetherspoon pub when the back of her head went numb.She believes an item made out of glass was thrown from the balcony area, which overlooks the area, into the crowd.
However, Wetherspoon has said plastic glasses are used at the pub from 7pm on Friday and Saturday.She said: "I was in a lot of pain, it was a really traumatic night.
It was horrible. I was bleeding so much that by the time they had put the bandage in it was soaked in blood."I am suffering from a bit of short-term memory loss now, as well as having headaches and feeling fatigued.
