FOO Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins' initial autopsy results have revealed the musician had "chest pain" before he passed away.
Taylor may have suffered a heart attack, Bogota health officials appeared to signal Friday night. The Secretariat of Health issued a statement that confirmed the drummer had sparked a medical emergency after suffering “chest pains" leading to his death in a Colombian hotel room.
Meanwhile, a joint statement from the band was posted to Twitter late on Friday night, stating that the other band members were "devastated" by the "untimely death" of Hawkins, who was 50 years old.
The Foo Fighters statement read: "His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with us forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children, and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time."
