Dr Jeanelle de Gruchy has been appointed to a new body, the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID), which aims to tackle health inequalities across the country, the government has announced.

As the new DCMO for Health Improvement, Dr de Gruchy will advise government on clinical and public health matters under the professional leadership of the chief medical officer Professor Chris Whitty.
