Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.Two talented Old Bonhill singers have been recognised for their work to spread some cheer during the pandemic, by being nominated for a prestigious national award.Jack Mullen, 14, and Alfie King, 12, have been nominated for Unsung Hero of the Year at the Sunday Mail YoungScot awards, after performing outside care homes and to neighbours who have been shielding over lockdown.The duo have also raised money through performing at-home concerts and used the funds to purchase Easter eggs for Balloch children’s hospice Robin House, as well as creating hampers full of goodies for frontline workers.Their outstanding charitable efforts have raised over £5000 for.
