Actress and writer Maddy Anholt, who starred in a number of BBC, ITV and Channel 4 sitcoms and was a regular guest on This Morning, has passed away at age 35, just one year after welcoming her daughter Opal. Maddy's family announced the sad news on GoFundMe, where they wrote: "It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Maddy Anholt, our beloved daughter, sister, twin, friend, wife and mother, who left this world on Wednesday 13th September, aged 35.

Alison Hammond has been happy to "escape" the drama on ITV's This Morning, as she has shared a life update with her followers.The 48 year old has not been on the daytime show this week, as she has been enjoying a break away, at a "party house" just outside of Bristol. This Morning star Matty Lock was shown helping his local community in the final photograph of him before his tragic death at the age of 19. Matty, who was a member of the Labour party in Merseyside and was recently elected as a councillor in the town of Maghull, was pictured wearing a red high-vis vest while sweeping up rubbish and leaves from the ground in the newly unearthed snap. Matty’s death was announced at the weekend in a statement by This Morning, who described him as a 'delightful young man'.

A viewer of This Morning made an emotional appearance on the show to reveal that a live breast examination on an episode of the ITV programme in March saved her life. Priya Kaura, 40, was watching the show as cancer survivor Leeanne Adu appeared topless as Dr Sarah Kayat explained and demonstrated the best way for women to check their breasts for any sign of cancer.
