This Morning presenter Craig Doyle has landed a new presenting gig that's very different from the daytime TV show. Craig, 52, who lives in his native Ireland, will present The National Football League programme on ITV, with his first appearance scheduled for Friday, 8 September at 8pm.
He is replacing Laura Wood, who stepped down from the show after just one series. This Morning fans need not worry, however, as they will still get to see Craig on This Morning - where he has proved massively popular since securing a more regular slot, following the departure of Phillip Schofield earlier this year.
Craig has often presented on the show alongside Josie Gibson when main hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were away, however, after Phillip's departure, Craig made his debut presenting alongside Holly for the first time - and fans were here for it.
Sharing their thoughts on Twitter, a pair of ITV viewers declared: "This Morning has got to make Craig Doyle the permanent host, he is lovely, great personality and compliments Holly Willoughby on the sofa, fits in with the team like a glove.
