This Morning failed to pick up an award at the National Television Awards on 5 September, and former host Eamonn Holmes has been quick to take a jab at the ITV show.

Eamonn, 63, discussed This Morning's loss on GB News on Wednesday 6 September, with his co-host Isabel Webster and guests Charlie Rowley and Scarlett MccGwire. "This Morning didn't win anything yet again," the TV presenter announced, prompting Isabel, 40, to add: "They got booed apparently." Eamonn, who previously hosted the ITV daytime show with wife Ruth Langsford, then quipped: "Apparently the audience were just chanting, 'Bring back Eamonn'." He and his guests then weighed in on This Morning losing out on the Best Daytime Show award at Tuesday's NTAs, with The Repair Shop taking home the award.

Scarlett said: "The big story, The Sun's front page because obviously, this is the biggest story in Britain, is that Phillip Schofield has stopped following Holly Willoughby on TikTok. "I mean, you know, this is the big story.

And I mean, apparently, the This Morning people were devastated because God forbid there could be a better programme that actually won it.
