The Apprentice issues strict 'ban' to show hopefuls says ex BBC star Ryan-Mark Parsons
BBC One programme's 17th season will broadcast tonight, as 18 contestants compete to win Lord Sugar's £250,000 investment. Ryan-Mark Parsons, who took part in The Apprentice in 2019, has opened up about his experience on the show.Ryan-Mark made history as the show's youngest candidate during his eight week stint on the BBC show at the age of 19.Now aged 22, the former BBC contestant has gone on to forge a successful media career as a columnist and GB News commentator. He also took part in E4's popular matchmaking reality series Celebs Go Dating last year. The on-screen star recently gave a behind-the-scenes insight into what it's really like to take part in The Apprentice as he detailed a show "ban".Ryan-Mark explained that male and female contestants are often separated in the early stages of the competition in a bid to avoid "underhanded tactics".The commentator said during his series, a relationship ban was commonplace, as show producers want the contestants to focus on the show challenges.Addressing the show ban, he said: "Yeah, I think that was really to make sure there was no underhanded tactics, in terms of, when you are the project manager and you had to select someone for the boardroom, you wouldn't favour someone you're dating over someone else."I think that was really designed to make everything as impartial as it possibly can be when it comes to all of the candidates."He added: "So we were separate from the girls and we wouldn't really be allowed to spend too much time with them.

Karren Brady slams government for 'damaging NHS' with 'insulting' nurse wages amid strikes
The Apprentice star Baroness Karren Brady, 53, has slammed the tories over the way they have handled the strikes carried out by nurses across the country this week. The business executive has even claimed that the government are “damaging the NHS” with their actions.A staggering 100,000 nurses are estimated to be striking this week for the first time in the history of the NHS. Baroness Brady began by pointing out how ironic it was that we were clapping for those same nurses during the pandemic, as she argued that they now feel “betrayed” after all they have done for this country. She went on to praise the “selfless angels” for their tireless efforts, before noting the “damage” the government was causing to the NHS by not giving them a substantial pay rise. “While staff in different hospitals have made different decisions about striking, I’m certain they are all in total agreement that the Government’s 4.3 per cent pay offer isn’t only insulting, but actually damaging to the NHS,” she penned in her latest column. Baroness Brady noted that, while the demand for a 19 per cent pay rise might be “unrealistic”, the nurses are mainly interested in being “treated with respect”. She added that the Scottish Government was able to prevent strike action with “a sensible offer of between 7.5 and 11 per cent.”The entrepreneur also pointed out that the NHS is a “special case” when it comes to this month’s strike action, and called on Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to take the issue seriously. “The desperately low morale of the people we rely on to prop it up is endangering its very existence,” she warned.

'Better title would be Bitter’ Karren Brady fears for royals 'shivering' over Harry's book
The Apprentice star Karren Brady, 53, has sympathised with the royals, sharing her wishes that Prince Harry, 38, “could pull the plug” on his forthcoming tell-all book, Spare. The book, written by the Duke of Sussex, is set for release on January 10, and is slated to be an account of “raw, unflinching honesty” from Harry, who sensationally left his Senior Royal role, and his life in the UK, with his wife Meghan Markle in 2020.Businesswoman Karren has now hit out at Harry for going ahead with publishing his memoir, despite the turmoil his family have been through this year following the death of Queen Elizabeth II.Harry’s father has now become King Charles III, and Karren believes the Duke should now be “building bridges”, rather than taking “risks” with his book.Karren fumed in her latest column for The Sun: “It’s obviously too late, but I wish Harry could pull the plug on it now.“That he is risking revealing the sensitivities of his book at a time when surely – now more than ever before – he should be building bridges just beggars belief.“Still, given what’s been said by Meghan Markle and Harry already, the promise of ‘raw, unflinching honesty’ must be sending a shiver down the spine of the royals and all of their advisors – even if, as the late Queen said, ‘recollections may vary’.”Suggesting a new title for the publication, Karren swiped: “It strikes me that maybe a better title for the book would be Bitter.”Karren isn’t the first star to hit out at Harry over the title of his latest project, which hints the tone of the memoir will not be positive about his family. The title references the notion of an “heir and a spare”, while the Spanish language version of the Duke’s book has the subtitle En La Sombra, or “in the

Karren Brady gushes over Kate Middleton and Prince William’s ‘healthy’ relationship
Royal Family – had a blast at an outdoor market in Belfast during their surprise visit to Northern Ireland this week."William and Kate, both 40, laughed as they raced each other to mix up a particular drink, before the prince was declared the winner."I’ve often noticed that these two seem like they have got a healthy – and funny – level of competition in their relationship."The Apprentice star concluded in her column for The Sun: "I wonder if that is perhaps one of their secrets to happiness."Elsewhere, a body language expert has heaped praise on Kate over her "elegant traits", which she combines with "relatability".Judi James explained exclusively to Express.co.uk why she believed the Princess of Wales will be ready for her role as Queen when the time comes. She said: "It would be hard to imagine someone with body language that is more suited to the role of Queen than Kate."She brings many of the more traditional, formal and elegant traits that the Queen was known for, but blends them with some touches of her own that update her image to suit this age of relatability, accessibility and video communications."Judi went on to reflect on how Kate isn't afraid to have fun or get her hands dirty during her royal engagements. She questioned whether this could potentially change as she moves from Duchess to Princess and Princess to Queen Consort. She posed the question: "Kate does A-list glamour and elegance perfectly, but will she need to drop some of her more casual looks, like her sporting gear or even shorts that she tends to wear on some of her visits?"Judi went on: "Kate always looks totally happy and confident joining in all the sporting action as part of her royal roles."Earlier this year she became patron of the Rugby
