Bob Marley has made history again after his 1984 compilation album ‘Legend’ became the first reggae album to chart for 800 weeks on the Billboard 200.Earlier this week (September 25), Forbes confirmed the feat, revealing that ‘Legend’ is also the second-ever album to do this. The first to hit this milestone was Pink Floyd’s 1974 classic ‘Dark Side Of The Moon’.The achievement comes 42 years after Marley’s death in 1981, passing away from cancer at the age of 36.

Bob Marley and the Wailers’ album ‘Catch A Fire’ will receive a 50th anniversary reissue.‘Catch A Fire’ was the group’s fifth studio album and the first to be released by Island Records UK. It is universally regarded as the album which put reggae music on the global stage.

Angelique Jackson Paramount has announced a sequel to the hit horror film “Smile,” as well as a platform shift for the upcoming “Mean Girls” musical movie. “Mean Girls,” which is based on the Tony-nominated Broadway musical adapted from the iconic 2004 movie (which made $130 million at the box office) was planned to debut on Paramount+, but will now get a wide theatrical release on Jan. 12, 2024.

In addition to dating its new movie theatrically, Paramount has set Oct. 18, 2024 for the next Smile movie.

Jo Mersa Marley’s death have been revealed.Joseph “Jo Mersa” Marley — son of musician Stephen Marley and the grandson of reggae legend Bob Marley — died at 31 on Dec. 26 after being found unresponsive in a vehicle.In documents obtained by Rolling Stone from the Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office Tuesday, Marley reportedly died of “acute asthma exacerbation” after being infected by a rhinovirus or enterovirus.Marley had a history of asthma, bronchitis and pneumonia, and was not taking his asthma medication at the time of his death, according to the magazine.
