The eight royal cousins stood together in a ceremonial honour guard just hours after their parents held an emotional vigil in the Palace of Westminster on Friday. Lady Louise, 18, was joined by Prince William, Prince Harry, Zara Tindall and Peter Philips, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, along with Viscount Severn for the proceedings.

The Countess of Wessex and her husband Prince Edward were joined by their daughter Lady Louise Windsor as they thanked members of the public for their tributes to the Queen at Balmoral Castle. Sophie Wessex, 57, and Prince Edward, 58, were accompanied by their 18 year old daughter to greet those lining the streets outside the castle following a church service held in honour of the late Queen Elizabeth II earlier on in the day. It was recently announced that the Queen’s granddaughter, Lady Louise Windsor, is set to head to St Andrews University to study English, after she received her A-level results. The 18 year old received her exam results on Thursday 18 August, and a spokesperson for the Palace confirmed the Royal's next move in education. They stated: "Having received her A Level results today, Lady Louise will start at St Andrews University in September to study English." She follows in the footsteps of Prince William and Kate Middleton, who both studied at St Andrews, as well as Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, who also both attended university.
